Background:
I have been making and distributing Freebies for a long time, and I really wanted to help educate people and share my FREEBIE passion with everyone! I want to help people understand why we are so lucky to have access to so many free things, and even MORE important, I want to help keep the Freebie trend alive!
Why do people make freebies?
There are many reasons that individuals and companies make and distribute free things. Let me list a few:
- To drive traffic to their websites, which in tern can lead to more sponsors.
- To let potential customers sample their products.
- To get more subscribers/followers. *Often freebies require a “Sign Up” or other subscription.
- Just for fun!
What should I care? Its free…
I want to help others understand what is going on behind the freebie. If we don’t support the freebie maker and if they stop getting results from their freebies, the freebies will stop coming! I personally feel that freebies are very trendy right now and I would love to keep it that way 
Don’t we all love cute, free things?? If we want the freebies to keep coming, we have to show our support to the makers!
How can I support those that are making freebies?
No Cost Options:
- Tweet/Facebook/Pin the freebies that you grab! This is a great way to help drive traffic to those who are providing you an awesome freebie!
- Subscribe! By subscribing to the Freebie maker’s Blog or Website, you are showing your support, committing to visit their site more often, and in turn, helping them get paid advertising/sponsors which funds the very freebies that you are using.
- Give Credit! If you are using freebies to make a Blog Design, a Cute Craft, Wedding Invites, or anything… What a better way to show support then to post about it on your blog/website. Let your readers know where you got the freebie. You can even put a permanent link on your blog.
- A Simple Thank You! Being a maker of freebies myself, I can’t tell you how much it means to me when I am sent a sweet comment or email, thanking me for the freebie!
- Visit their Sponsors! I might only take you a minute, but if you can take the time to just click around, and visit their sponsors, and see what they have to offer. This is a awesome way to support, because sponsors are much more inclined to renew advertising if they are getting traffic

- Donate! Many freebie makers will have a donate icon, and I am sure they would be more than happy to receive even $1!
- Check out the Non-Free Stuff! Many individuals/companies that offer freebies also offer other items for sale. Check them out and consider shopping
